PNG Learning Center
Friendly, qualified, and professional staff are trained in the field of Early Childhood Education along with safety courses e.g. CPR and First Aid. Our staff is nurturing, patient and provides the children with many opportunities to explore the world around them, constantly encouraging growth in each individual. With Children attending from many walks of life, each child is encouraged, and taught- in a positive and loving environment-to honor and respect themselves, others, and the environment. Furthermore, teachers work to strengthen each child's own cultural identity and at the same time learn to accept differences in others.
Estela Gapas has been the director of PNG since it was established in 1992. She is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the various health agencies on island. The center is named after her son, Princeton Nathan who resides in Hawaii with his wife, Katja. Her husband, Kit, is the quiet family bulwark who has stood behind her for all times. She's been a member of the Guam Early Learning Council and especially enjoys working with the various professionals who, like her, are stake holders in the field of early childhood education. Assisting the community to become a safer place is her other passion: she maintains her role as a faculty for American Heart Association, teaching Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider and Instructor courses as well as training community members how to save lives by using Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
